Clinical Research Unit, Part of the Clinical Research Centre at the University Hospital Northern Norway (UNN), Tromsø
Clinical Research Department is based on researchers Initiated projects that are independent from the industry. Industrial studies are also present. The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) is part of this department which, together with the unit, provides the infrastructure for clinical research in order to support investigators in the design, initiation, conduct and practical assistance. To engage the CRU in a study, one has to apply to its scientific board. The board evaluates the applications and prioritizes. Applications can be delivered 4 times a year at specified dates. The investigator is invited to present the study and the board can ask clarifying questions to increase the validity of the idea.
