NRI-Networks is governed by the Board of four. The Board is responsible for overall policy, activities and finance. The Board members are appointed for a period of three years and can be re-elected.

The NRI Programme Committee is an advisory group appointed by the NRI-Board. The program committee has two members from each country. The group is responsible for planning the conferences and developing other network activities.

The NRI-Secretariat that ensures day-to-day functioning of the organisation is based in Bergen, Norway.

Structural changes in the NRI-Secretariat

During autumn 2013, there have been some changes in the NRI-Networks organisation. The NRI-Secretariat has a new host organisation - Bergen Teknologioverføring AS (BTO), the technology transfer office in Bergen. Innovest AS, the previous host of the NRC/NRI-Networks, has now become an ordinary partner.

In this transition process, we have a new member in the NRI-secretariat - Christina Laastad from BTO. She has a full-time position to serve mainly the NRI-Conference, the NRI-Networks and sub-networks and support the new Nordic Summit for Deans & Directors that will be launched on 14th of May, 2014.  The rest of the NRI-Secretariat remains the same; Arne Abrahamsen and Tone Skår. However, Tone has reduced working hours. Jan Olofsson, the founder of NRC/NRI-Networks, will continue as the leader and member of the former Advisory group (now Programme Committee).
