New Year's Greeting from the NRI Innovation Network
Dear members of the NRI Innovation Network,
We would like to wish you a Happy New Year, and use this opportunity to update you on what has happened in the NRI Innovation Network in 2015 and the plans for 2016.
We thank you your commitment and participation in the main events of the NRI Innovation in 2015. We would like to sum up the activities of 2015 for you, and the go into details with the plans for 2016.
2015 - Workshops
As presented in last year’s New Years card, we have had a number of workshops, primarily focusing on different angles of the test-bed concept.
First, we had workshop in Copenhagen in collaboration with Oulu University Hospital on the 27th of February. This well attended workshop gave a good overview over different areas and setups of test-beds and the need for international collaboration. The results can be found here.
As part of the NRI Conference in Bergen on the 5th of May there was another workshop, where the need and concept for test beds was discussed in great details. More information can be found here.
Finally, a workshop on implementation was held in Gothenburg on the 3rd of November. Here the focus was on going outside the Nordic region to include other neighboring countries, and discuss innovation and implementation across both the Nordic and the ScanBalt region. The summing up and main points can be found here.
Of other activities we came to the conclusion that until we have a well functioning solution for video conference, we will put the Show&Tells on hold. Once the demand resurfaces or we find a good solution we consider having another set of sessions.
2016 – Plans
Our aim for 2016 is first of all to listen to you, the members, and find out what you’d like to use this network for. We will be open this debate the process leading up to the NRI Conference.
This year, the conference will be held in Oslo, and we hope that many of your will find time to come and voice your opinion on what the Network should be used for to your benefit in the future. In addition to this, there will be some key speakers on innovation.
We hope to get a lot of interesting feedback from you and to see you at the NRI Conference Sign up here
Entering 2016 Aalborg University Hospital has handed over the position as head of NRI Innovation Networks Steering Committee to Bergen Technology Transfer Office. It was never the intention that the steering committee should be static, and we felt that a change of the guards was need. However, we (Kirstine & Jesper) will continue in the Steering Committee until a new constellation of the Steering Committee is chosen at the NRI Conference.
From Aalborg we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for you support and participation in setting up the network and all the very well attended events over the last few years.
Best regards & a happy New Year to you all!
