Evaluation of the NRI-Conference 2014
In order to improve the future NRI-Conference experience, we have carried out a short online survey.
Around one fifth of the participants have answered our survey so far and we will take into account valuable the feedback and suggestions provided when planning next year’s conference.
If you have not filled in the questionnaire yet, we would appreciate your help. NRI-Conference survey.
Meanwhile, we are pleased to share the initial results. In general, the participants are highly satisfied with the conference – around 75% of the respondents noted that they are very satisfied or satisfied, while only less than 5% seem to have been dissatisfied. The aspects that received the latter evaluation related to timing of the conference and transportation. On the other hand, possibilities for networking as well as the venue deserved the most appreciation. Participants were also very positive to the speakers, theme and program as well as the social activities offered. This ranking is not surprising, as networking ranks as the first motive to come to the conference followed by program and theme of the conference, speakers, and workshops.
Therefore, in the future we plan to devote more time and provide a better platform for networking as well as work closely with the sub-networks to provide the participants with informative and dynamic workshops and meetings.
The conference participants were most positive about the main sessions on collaboration (Main Session 4) and collaboration between university and university hospital (Main Session 5). Regarding the parallel sessions, the one focusing on innovation received the most praise. This feedback reinforces the goal of NRI-Networks – foster Nordic cooperation and innovation on international and institutional levels. At the same time, it calls for sustained or increased focus for those topics in the conferences to come.
When it comes to next year’s conference, the respondents expressed their preference towards shorter conference – a 2-day conference (with a possibility of common dinner during the evening prior to the first day) rather than upholding the current 3 day format. We were also pleased to learn that more than a half of the participants indicated that they would recommend the conference and wish to join next year. We are looking forward to welcoming familiar face as well as new participants during the NRI-Conference 2015 on May 4-6!
Once more, we would like to extend our thanks to all of those who joined us a couple weeks ago in the beautiful Solstrand hotel. A special thanks to those who contributed their time and ideas to help us in improving the NRI-Conference. We wish you all a happy summer vacation!
